At the end of his life, coming from the south of France, Van Gogh moved to Auvers-sur-Oise, a small garret Ravoux Inn.
He arrived with the Doctor Gachet, after a brief stay in Paris.
The latter - recommended by Pissaro after a request for Theo - had many friends in the arts community including the Impressionists Guillaumin, Pissarro and Cézanne.
He collected paintings.
At Auvers, Vincent spends lavishly and produces a large number of works including his most famous, often painted in a few hours.
He lends eighty-three tables in seventy days!
Forms that gives the church of Auvers offer the feeling of transformation of a peaceful village in violent patterns.
Van Gogh committed suicide with a gun July 27, 1890.
He died two days later.
Vincent wrote to his brother Theo, 19 November 1883:. "And the purpose of my life is to create drawings and paintings as much as possible So, at the end of my life, I hope to go on looking back with love and tender regret thinking: Oh, what a painting I have done! "
